It’s my Birthday Month

I’m only posting about my birthday because my amazing husband has started some kind of daily gift giving.

Day 1

A fantastic cutting board since all my tupperware ones are crapping out!

Day 2

A way to hang up my favorite mirror without putting a huge hole in the wall…I love my husband! I just need to figure out where I want to have it hung up.

New Favorite Salad

I have been trying to find a new Cabbage recipe that actually was good…and I finally did! I’m super excited to be sharing it because I just love it.

Overnight Cabbage Salad

1 lg. head cabbage
2 pkgs. instant Ramen noodles
4 green onions
6 T. vinegar
4 T. sugar
1 c. salad oil
4 T. slivered almonds
4 T. sesame seeds
2 cooked and skinned chicken breasts or tuna
2 tsp. salt or season pkt. from noodles
2 tsp. Accent
1/2 to 1 tsp. pepper

Make sauce with vinegar, sugar, salad oil, Accent and pepper. Stir together and pour over salad ingredients mixed in a bowl. Refrigerate overnight.

I didn’t have green onions so I put 1 tsp of Onion Powder in the sauce, I didn’t have slivered almonds but it taste great without them. I only used one chicken breast, I feel thats enough chicken for the salad.
